hypoperfused which means

Posted on November 8 2012 by essays in ermed congested

You can be hypoperfused which means that your heartisn't working efficiently to perfuse your body effectively.DC motor

If you have fluid overload, you are what is termed congested. If you hear a physician or nurse mention pulmonary capillary wedge pressure, basically they are just further proving congestion if it is termed high. Some of the symptoms and signs of congestion with CHF include: dyspnea on exertion or at rest (out of breath), orthopnea (shortness of breath while laying down), peripheral edema (swelling in feet, hands, arms, and legs), rales (respiratory sounds that sounds like crackles),YouFind feeling full early, nausea/vomiting, ascites, hepatomegaly (large liver), splenomegaly (large spleen), and jugular venous distension.

If you have hypoperfusion, you are what is termed reduced cardiac output. In other words, your heart isn't operating efficiently to pump the way it should. You could see fatigue, sleepiness or altered mental status, cold extremities, hypotension (low blood pressure), hyponatremia (low sodium), or worsening renal function (kidneys).

There are four subsets listed in the current guidelines. a. subset I - normal (warm and dry), b. subset II - congestion (warm and wet), c. subset III - hypoperfused (cold and dry),醫療用品 and subset IV - congestion and hypoperfusion (cold and wet). The worst of these is subset IV obviously because not only are you fluid overloaded but your heart is also not effectively pumping.
