often unattainable feeling

Posted on June 17 2013

Now then, it occurred to me that there are groupies of artists, musicians, and authors - and there are volunteer protégés hoping to garner a glimpse into this exclusive realm of creative genius.Reishi effect on the role of Cancer Treatment There is a big difference between the two. You see, one type of groupie longs to be around the carefree minds of these eminent achiever creative geniuses, as they wish to experience that elusive and often unattainable feeling of artistic freedom. The other type of group is inspired by them and then goes out to create their own future masterpieces.

As I've become involved with the re-launching of a local artists group hoping to give some assistance in helping the group go to new heights, I've witnessed these two types of groupies and how they interact with these wild-minds of the creative geniuses who produce this amazing art. Since there is a definite difference, each groupie needs to decide where they are at, and how they should proceed. The great artists need a following as this uplifts their spirits to go create more. The groupies so long for the feeling of a carefree independence one which they know they cannot maintain in their current real world paradigm, so they explore to understand eventually finding their placeas both the artist and the groupies needs are met.

So, what about the groupie who is an inspiring artist looking for glimpses into such an exclusive group of talented minds and individuals, when are they ready to go create their own works? Will they become trapped in awe of others or will they ditch their box and structured life to push the boundaries of society and create the art that makes us think, that makes us feel, and that gives us all a sense of purpose, a sense of enjoyment, and helps us attain a spark and more meaningful life experience. That question is not for me to answer, only to ponder as I observe those who make the choice.

It is a question you should be asking yourself. Are you a groupie of residence or are you the next great artist? Either way, we hope you will join us in supporting the arts for whatever reason you choose, our local art community we shall not lose.
